I had an amazing stay at this hotel. The location was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the mountains from every corner of the property. The staff were friendly and attentive, providing excellent service from the moment I arrived. The food was a highlight of my stay, with a menu that changed daily and offered the most delicious and creative dishes I have ever tasted. The hotel facilities were top-notch, with well-maintained gardens and lovely patio areas to relax and enjoy the scenery. The cleanliness of the accommodations was impressive, and I appreciated the attention to detail, such as the bed being turned down in the evening and the homemade chocolate truffles left for me. the experience was truly memorable and I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The chalets were clean and comfortable, with a welcome drink and chocolate. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The range of activities, including hikes and horseback riding, provided unforgettable experiences. The views were incredible everywhere. The vegan menu had GREAT choices that changed daily, a wow factor in itself. The guided walks and spa massages were fantastic. Swimming in the dam was a total delight.

During my recent stay at Montusi Mountain Lodge, I was blown away by the breathtaking views of the Amphitheatre. Waking up to such a stunning natural wonder right outside my cottage was an unforgettable experience. The cottages themselves were charming and cozy, with large windows that allowed me to fully appreciate the magnificent scenery. The food at the lodge was exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious meals to choose from. I also enjoyed the personalized service and attention to detail from the friendly and helpful staff. The lodge offered a range of activities, including walks, horse riding, and even a non-commercialized village tour, which was a highlight of my time there.
Although my stay was short, I couldn't help but feel completely relaxed and at peace in such a serene and beautiful environment. Montusi Mountain Lodge truly exceeded my expectations and provided the perfect setting for a magical getaway.

We loved the variety of activities available, from guided hikes and horse riding to exploring the nearby Royal Natal Park and enjoying the Boys Choir performance. It was perfect for adventure travelers like us.

The lodge had stunning views of the mountains, especially the famous amphitheater which could be seen from various areas of the property. The staff at the lodge were welcoming, helpful, and always had a smile on their faces. They provided us with useful information about the area and recommended activities to do. One of the highlights was hiking up one of the mountains on the property, where we discovered ancient bushmen paintings and enjoyed the breathtaking panoramic view from the top. Another positive aspect was the excellent food served at the lodge, with a varied menu that changed regularly and was cooked to perfection.
Getting to the lodge was quite challenging, with a long day of driving or flying followed by a few hours of driving on difficult roads. The lodge is located quite far from the nearest town, which may be inconvenient for those wanting easy access to amenities or attractions outside of the property.

Stunning views of the mountains and surrounding landscapes. The location is truly breathtaking. The accommodation is comfortable, well-furnished, and provides all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay.- Great service and attention to detail from the staff. They are friendly, helpful, and go above and beyond to ensure guests have a wonderful experience.
Limited breakfast options and a fixed starting time might not be convenient for those with early departures or long drives ahead. The menu for dinner is small with limited choices.

I recently stayed at a lodge in the Drakensburg Mountains and had an amazing experience. The food was incredible, with a delicious three-course dinner and a fresh and varied breakfast every day. The views from our chalet were breathtaking, and we even received a special note and champagne for our anniversary. The room was cozy with underfloor heating and a gas fireplace. The lodge was well-organized, with plenty of information about hikes and even a picnic that they set up for us. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff and attention to detail. Highly recommended!
Nothing, all great! 😊
